While You Were Sleeping (WYWS) was a graffiti and pop culture magazine created in 1997 by then 19-year-old Roger Gastman. The magazine featured stories on notable serial killers, punk rock and hardcore bands (from AFI to Vanilla Ice), child stars (such as Gary Coleman and Corey Feldman), and included photos and interviews with prominent graffiti and street artists of the day (ESPO, Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Bates, Quik, and more). Additionally, it showcased content on naked sisters and porn stars (like Ron Jeremy and Jenna Jameson). This magazine was a journey into the provocative minds of Roger Gastman and his team of juvenile delinquents. WYWS had national distribution six times a year, with a circulation of over 50,000+.
